Question how many days ahead do the tasks go eg: mine is 14/03/015? As l have 9 pages of tasks Pending Validation, would it be best for me to set one of my 3 crunchers to concentrate on one Task? I wouldn't worry about it. With the ones that require verification or validation, you're always at the mercy of the other cruncher or crunchers. You get credited sooner or later.

My current oldest PV-task is an FA@H-Vina task I sent back in on 26th Feb, the wingman has until 6th March to complete it before it passes to another host.
----------------------------------------PV'd tasks do eventually get added to your totals but, as dcrobinson said, you are at the mercy of other people who may not be able to run 24/7. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Thargor at Mar 4, 2015 1:43:14 PM] |

thanks for the update Jonnie, I do look forward to them
---------------------------------------- I've just started using BoincTasks from http://efmer.com/b/?q=boinctasks and can't recommend it highly enough for monitoring and managing multiple crunchers from a single pane plus it offers a free cloud control panel too. ![]() |

Morning all... Hi Genhos, I enabled gpugrid.net but the first WU I received appeared to only use 7 gpu cores out of 2048 and more frustratingly, all the WCG WU's were suspended whilst it ran. I gather from a little research that GPU cores aren't counted or used separately which seems a little pointless. If anybody can enlighten me, I'd be most grateful as for now, Gpu grid is off the table for me. It's a big sofa and every time I stick my hand down the back, some more cores keep appearing.. 160 so far Happy crunching... I have only had a short dabble in gpu crunching. On mine I could only crunch one unit at a time on the gpu but the cpu did keep crunching on all cores. Admittedly as it was on milkway@home one cpu was also being used to keep the gpu active so don't have any idea as to why yours would stop crunching on your cpu. Perhaps one of the more experienced gpu crunchers will be able to help? |

In the meantime, I'm considering a Supermicro H8QGi-F Motherboard populated with 4 x 16 core AMD Opteron 6274 CPU's as a dedicated 64 core cruncher but ideally, it should be solar powered / supplemented which is going to be fun to build ![]() |
