I think there is more than one batch per day. I've had them at other times too. I suspect they're either around 12 or perhaps even 6 hours apart. I agree that the times are slowly moving later, but that might simply be "When the batch is all gone, start the next in 6/12/24 hours' time".

As Apis TT days there's several times in a day when batches are issued and gap between them is probably either 6 or 8 hours.

I should probably have made clear in the OP that prior to gettings work units at around 12:30 Weds and 13:30 Thurs I had been attempting Manual Upddate several times an hour with no success hence I'm pretty certain that I'm close to the start time of a batch becoming available.

TomNuttall Some of us are manic obsessives who micro manage BOINC daily. Just carry on as you are and ignore us!

And with it being for Ebola then I think there is a bit more of a rush to get units. While any new project always gets a lot of interest from people to get their first bite of the new cherry, as Ebola is a very current news item I think this is adding the number of people wanting work, and new users joining WCG too.
