Mapping Cancer Markers
In case anyone is not following the thread

Rather Long MCM1 WUs lately

the brief overview is that MCM1 WUs have been observed to run from <1 hr to as long as 60.84 hrs (Apis Tintinnambulator on a slow old machine) shock

SekeRob who has seen WUS <1 hr - 29 hrs quoted from a tech:
Some Mapping Cancer Markers jobs take longer to run than others. Why? Each Mapping Cancer Markers task performs a search of multiple combinations of potential cancer biomarkers, representing a piece of a larger search strategy. It is difficult to split this extensive search into perfectly uniform pieces. Additionally, the machine-learning algorithms used to evaluate each combination of markers can take a variable amount of computing time to arrive at an answer. Together, these two factors make the run times of Mapping Cancer Markers tasks variable.


There also appears to be on going concern about Points for this project!

The length of time to process MCM is not a problem as they do seem to be checkpointing fairly regularly, for me the large difference in RT was the surprising thing. My 22hr one is still in PV, so that's almost half the RT needed to reach bronze.
