Android file transfer

Hi,

How much data does it use when it sends the completed work back? If it small then it can go out via 3G.

Thanks
Richard

Re: Android file transfer

Per the System Requirement page, a result for FAAH / SN2S is like 100-200KB. Relative to the runtime they take on Android, not very much, but here they rip per MB over 3G. Default BOINC for Android uses WIFI only, so with enough work buffered you could wait till you're in reach again and crunch off-line.

Re: Android file transfer

I use a mifi which is essentially a 3G USB dongle and wifi router melded into one. So the phone is on wifi, but in essence it's still on the 3G phone network.
