We have reached the end of the constant supply of work for the Human Proteome Folding - Phase 2 project. For the next 10-14 days the only tasks that will be sent are those tasks that are necessary to complete existing in progress workunits.
We sincerely appreciate the work that the volunteers have contributed to get us to this point! |

Nooooooo! Let's hope that, with my cache, I'll at least be able to squeak in an Emerald... Or that we might see a return of this project some day when they have their issues figured out.

Farewell HPF2, hopefully someday the project will return. The project was one of my favourites, plus it wasn't too hard on my laptop time-wise. I'm proud that I have been able to contribute to the project though, as I now have the bronze badge! I'm now going to focus on the FightAIDS@Home project for now as it's the only one that my laptop can process for now. I'm really looking forward to the other new projects that are coming out soon. Keep up the good work WCG!!

Yes, I too am sad to see the end of HPF2 - as I was 104 days into my second year, with the goal of Sapphire (and possibly beyond) in mind.
----------------------------------------Hopefully, at some stage in the future, when finances start flowing again and people see the very worthy benefits this project provided (i.e., all the research papers/knowledge that's come out of it etc.), we'll be able to crunch again on HPF2 WU's. |

Doesn't look like I'm going to make it to Emerald; I should be through the last of my cache tomorrow, and I haven't received any tasks (repair or otherwise) since 10 Jun. That will leave me with just over 290 days.
----------------------------------------Oh, well. Time to move on to another badge. |
