7 Sapphire Badges & Free CPU time to 1 team for 1 MONTH to celebrate! - UPDATED!

As the title suggests, I've just hit my seventh SAPPHIRE and it's my birthday at the beginning of July.

So to celebrate, I'm going to donate my CUP time to one team for the first week of July (01-07/07/13). Here's how it will work:

Post your reasons here why I should crunch for you, make the posts inventive, funny or just factual. I will take suggestions of the worthiest team from forum members (you cannot suggest your own team other than in your initial post)

I will read the suggestions etc and select the winner by 29/06/13. I will crunch whatever WCG projects the team request or all those running, that is up to the team.

How much CPU power is available I hear you ask? Well, I'm not telling, just look at when I joined WCG - 15/12/12 then look at my stats!

Let fun begin!

Well, given per your signature you are averaging about 60 days per day, that would imply about 60 to 70 cores available. With about 3.5 million points per year I am guessing I7's or some newer Xeons or Opterons. Probably the equivalent of about 3 Dell R900's. Whatever you have, it is an impressive array. Maybe you could join the Base Campers - they trek all over. BTW how's your electric bill ?
Cheers

Congratulations on your accomplishments. I applaud your enthusiasm. Naturally, I'd love to have you on my team but, to be honest, I say that to everyone. biggrin While I'd welcome your week's effort, I would rather see you stay longe than that, much longer. smile If you want to "donate" your crunching to a team, there are plenty of deserving ones. What really mattters though is you're crunching for the team that really matters - Team WCG.

BTW - Happy birthday too!

@Sgt.Joe - the electric bill is HUGE! I'm about to have a solar power system installed to help with that!

Why would I join the Base campers? Give me some witty comments as to why...

Many thanks Keith, I just thought it would give a team a boost in points and rankings. But as you say, the main thing is Team WCG!

I'll see if there are any smaller teams who 'apply'

Global Health will be grateful for any support! praying
By the way my birthday is also in July and it would be a great gift if my team could benefit from it.

With probably less than 24 hours to go on HPF2 new work I propose you think about sooner than July with your offer.

You Might be able to help some poor waif and stray, perhaps more than one, get his badge for HPF2 too. biggrin

It IS a little late in the day but...... Challenges are what we do. wink

Re: 7 Sapphire Badges & Free CPU time to 1 team for 1 week to celebrate!

@OldChap - Good point, however, to help an individual I would have to logon/download wu's as them, that would require their login details. but it may work.

So Yes, if someone wants some help then I could do that...

As for donating time "to help an individual I would have to logon/download wu's as them", -no-. See the most recent post discussing the weak-account key feature here http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewpostinthread?post=423364
Obvious to do that, you'll have to detach from WCG first and then execute the command. The consequence is that any unfinished work is lost, so you may want to think about that before changing plan A.
