I've pulled up a few stats on members in my geo... The the Accumulated Points are impossible high when compared to the Results returned / Badges earned / Installations....
Can anyone explain this? Sample ===> http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewMe...e=kaheicheung@hotmail.com |

I see that this is your first post to the forum so perhaps you have not been following the discussion on GPU crunching and are unaware that your computer's video card can be used in lieu of your CPU to crunch work units for the Help Conquer Cancer project. This results in workunits being completed 10-20 faster. It's akin to the live ball era in baseball. The stats are not corrupted but for those who have taken advantage of GPU crunching their points stats have risen dramatically.

After a quick look and calculate it looks reasonable, heres how it works out:
----------------------------------------Total Run Time (y:d:h:m:s) (Rank) 1:194:21:29:30 (#65,955)= 365+194=559 Days Badges = 4 gold @ 90 Days = 1 silver @ 45 days =(4x90)+45=405 Days This high number of points Points Generated (Rank) 16,987,135 (#5,968)is likely to be frpm GPU crunchine on HCC, this results in an uneven balance of points/runtime as GPU's process high volumes of wu's in a short space of time. That may not explain it, but it is likely the reason.

Thank you - your explanations are appreciated.
... perhaps it may have been the wrong forum but a simple question was asked and answered. |
