Well as from tomorrow guys I will be away for a week up in Haggis Land for my 50th, so see you next Friday. I have been asked how come we lasted so long, I have no real idea, but, here are a few things that may have helped.

1. We have never hit each other. Of course we have had the odd row now and again, it would be strange if we did not. But nothing serious, never used foul and abusive language at each other and the 'silences' never lasted more than 12 hours.

2. Neither of us are drinkers, the odd sherry & Baileys at Christmas, maybe a glass of wine with dinner now and again and a half of cider when the weather is hot - in this country that is about once every ten years! So neither of us has ever been drunk which can cause massive problems.

3. We share the housework and garden etc. We always did when we both worked, obviously Lena did more when she retired and I still worked but since I retired it is all sharing - except weeding as I cannot tell an orchid from a dandelion!

Would I do it all again if I knew what I know now 50 years ago?..................................you bet I would!
