New ATI Powercolor HD7870 Tahiti LE computation errors

I tried to read through the threads, but was unable to find a solution. I just installed a new HD7870 Tahiti LE chipset card. It does not seem to work with the client. I get several computation errors before it stops trying to complete tasks. I have the latest ATI drivers and WCG client.

Anyone know what the heck is going on?

Install gpuz and use it to see if the OpenCL driver is installed- if not then reinstall the catalyst driver and check again

What OS are you running?

Re: New ATI Powercolor HD7870 Tahiti LE computation errors

Turns out OpenCL was bugged by rolling back from beta drivers to standard ATI drivers.

I used ATIman to clean everything off and reinstall drivers. We are cooking now. Amazing how much faster using GPUs is. Thanks for the OpenCL tip!

Good to hear that you got it working!

That card should do about 80-85k ppd :-)
