What Timezone are the servers/web sites running under?
----------------------------------------When updating my results web page I have to wait until after 13:06 GMT to get the latest stats. Now the UK is in BST I guess I'll have to wait an hour longer?? The Web site states it is up dated at 12:06 UTC but I have to wait until 13:06 at least until I get updates. The explaination of UTC states it is equal to GMT From the article on UTC: "Its reference point is Greenwich, England: when it is midnight there on Earth's prime meridian, it is midnight (00:00:00.000000) -- UTC." Also from that article: For example, a comparison/conversion of your current local time (as reported by your system) to UTC: • Local: 31 March 2013 22:01:06 • UTC: Sun, 31 Mar 2013 21:01:06 UTC • Your local system time is 1 hours ahead of UTC. This is not the case, as I'm typing this at 22:01 We are now in BST - British Summer Time Or am I missing something Edit - The timestamp of this post shows 21:07 Edit - typo/spelling

Everything at WCG is running UTC exact. For forums to print posts correctly per your local time you have to enter the timezone you're in at My Forum Profile [See DST thread for previous and current discussion]. Those times are only correct when signed in. When signed out the times show as were you at UTC exact.

Thanks Rob, I can see that, however, that does not explain the delay in he web stats update...

The time is the snapshot time which is taken at 00:06 and 12:06 UTC. Then it takes about an hour in the afternoon and 1.5 at night. The nightly takes longer because then also the team stats are updated and various other stats related tables.

P.S. Your 21:07 post shows for me as 11:07PM which is about right as it is here 11:45PM now. Think you still have to set the Forum time right... 1 hour forward to get your DST correction [it's not automatic]

The stats are calculated every 12 hours, at 12:06 UTC and just passed midnight UTC. But the results from the calculations take getting on for an hour to be published on the website from when they are calculated from. UTC time does not change for winter / summer time.

UTC is GMT i.e. British Winter Time
