Got 4 of them (1 per thread as usually ).
----------------------------------------Running 2 concurrent GPU tasks on 7.0.56 via app_config (2x GPU at 0.25 CPU each) + 4 concurrent HPF2 CPU's . Screen is lagging, but who cares Mac OS X 10.8.3, i5-2500S @ 2.7 GHz, AMD/ATI 6770M 512 MB (348 GFLOPS peak), OpenCL1.1 Edit 1: - First 2 went w/o error, CPU Time 0.02, Elapsed Time 0.46 (28 mins), both PVal ATM - CPU usage: 1% during GPU phases, 70% avg. during CPU phases - Temperatures of CPU and GPU in normal - During whole GPU WU calculation all 4 CPU tasks continued to run (this is great IMO ), when GPU tasks went to CPU phase, decrease of CPU usage for CPU tasks spread evenly through all 6 active tasks Edit 2: These 2 WU's have gotten errors from 6 devices combined, all with 7.0.31. My recommendation: Upgrade to 7.0.56 Edit 3: -All running smoothly, already have 3 PVal, 5 Valid, 4 In progress. 3 of 5 valid were confirmed by wingmen with 7.0.31, one by 7.0.47 and one by 7.0.28. All Errors I have checked so far are from 7.0.31 (cant see their GPU's) - Pause / resume task w/o problems - Moving screen to / from Sleeping mode w/o problems - I am running BOINC in advanced mode w/o screensaver Crunching@Home since January 13 2000. Greetings,
The majority of the errors were a server setting on our end. We corrected that issue midway through the beta and the error rate was great. The issue most members saw was CPU time exceeded which was a setting sent from our side that did not match what production HCC1 work units ran. Thanks, -Uplinger |

I am running 7.0.31 on Mac OSX 10.8.3 with ATI HD 5770 (1CPU + 1 ATI GPU) which is munching GPU tasks just fine except that my monitor's response is reduced. Am wondering if it is possible to reduce load on GPU? I have preferences set to 50% CPU TIme usage.

David

Default is to not GPU crunch during computer use, only when idle. There's a reason for that ;>)
CPU time setting at 50% wont help much as that merely makes BOINC run 1 second, pause one second in alternation, designed for temp control in laptops. Consider how many hours u use the computer and how many hours idle crunching. E.g. actual use 4 hours, 20 hours idle daily. Having the setting at 100% and idle crunch only produces more results than 50% over 24 hours. |

Hello Davide,
----------------------------------------I have the same issue with my 6770M regardless I am running 1 GPU at 1 CPU or 2 GPU's at 0.5 CPU's combined. As SekeRob suggested, whenever I am working on my comp, I am suspending GPU computation. We happy Vincent? Yeah, we happy Cheers Crunching@Home since January 13 2000. I have changed to that setup but now all of a sudden I am getting Computational Error on all of the GPU units.
----------------------------------------Adding: GPU units were working just fine, checked last evening. Now this morning all of the GPU work units showing Computational Error, all stopping at 4 seconds. Running 7.0.31 with Mac OSX 10.8.3 on ATI HD 5770. Showing this error Sat Mar 23 22:48:27 2013 | World Community Grid | Aborting task X0900134501021201206011015_0: exceeded elapsed time limit 3.68 (1217757.90G/330722.44G)

Try setting it as it was (i.e. Use GPU when computer is in use) and every time you are going to use your PC, click "Activity" in BOINC menu and Disable GPU. Just don't forget to enable it when leaving your comp
