Has Replication Fallen Out Of Favor?

For some reason over the last several days, for the CEP2, DSFL, SN2S, and GFAM projects, I have been receiving exclusively WU's with _0 suffixes (none with suffixes of _1, _2, etc.) I would have expected receiving WU's with an assortment of suffixes, consistent with a valid replication strategy. So, what gives? Has redundancy gone out of style, or is there something else that I am missing here?

No - it's just that, by the sounds of it, your machine has now fallen into the 'Reliable' class - and thus, for those particular projects, you can 'go it alone'. Occasionally, the system will automatically 're-evaluate' your machine, by forcing a 'Pending Verification' WU (i.e. another WU which will be sent to someone else's machine in order to double check yours).

Zero Redundancy, is the most efficient way of crunching - as the scientists are confident that the results which they're getting back, are correct and valid by only having them crunched once.

Re: Has Replication Fallen Out Of Favor?

Thank you for this elucidation. It sounds very plausible, and I find myself pleased to have been accepted at some higher plane of reliability.

Now back to more high-confidence crunching...
