None of my machines have been able to access servers for over 27 hours. I am only able to make this post via my mobile phone. Not sure if this is a fault with my ISP.

Thanks to everyone for your replies.
----------------------------------------Unfortunately, my issue remains and has been isolated to an ISP fault. My first round of phone calls was done through Mumbai call centre to no avail. I managed to get through to Virgin second line support in UK today and the techs have agreed that I have discovered a local issue (although how local it is, they cannot tell) and say the fault has been reported. Since this is now the weekend, they are unable to give an accurate date for fix so it looks as if the hundreds of results I have to return are going to time out and in the meantime, all my machines are out of work and have been switched off. Anecdotally, I have now had to switch on my heating for the first time this winter. @OldChap, nice to meet a fellow UK cruncher. Just an update using my phone to say that I still cannot reach this site using my ISP (Virgin). Some users on Virgin can and some can't and second line are still scratching their heads trying to find the reason.
----------------------------------------I'd love to be able to ask the site admins for some assistance but browsing the forums with s mobile is not easy. I tried a tracker from http://network-tools.com and it failed on line one. Is this site having DNS problrms? ![]() Crunching in memory of my Mum PEGGY, cousin ROPPA and Aunt AUDREY. |
