Hi, I drive an Evo and I'm shy - Aye right! ![]() And people wonder why I am wary of starting new threads! Are shy people not allowed to drive fast? Or is it that we can't have a car that is made for one reason and one reason only? Evo gives me a protective shell that very few people can live with. And because it is import model it is fitted with reflective privacy glass - surely if I was a poser/extrovert I would have bought something that allows people to see me. The evo in pic is not my own one, don't want to advertise my reg no., but purely there as an illustration of why I called myself EvoDude. |

And because it is import model it is fitted with reflective privacy glass Can I ask, do you have privacy glass on the front side windows as well as the rear side windows? The reason I ask is that I have been told that having the front ones blacked means a possible 3 points from the police ![]() |

The reason I ask is that I have been told that having the front ones blacked means a possible 3 points from the police ![]() Your informant is bang on VAIO GRX616, these people that run about in fast cars with high visibility markings say that they need to see the face of the driver from the side. Drunk drivers are their main target so we can't say too much. I for one don't want people like that on the roads when I could be running about with my children in the car.In our area there are so few about anyway that the area traffic police know every evo by sight and who their owners are. When I bought mine the Volvo T5 boys were sitting outside my house having a chat with me within 3 days. Just so that 'I knew that they knew'. Part of the conversation was interesting:- At the time they had a marked up Evo 6, with Blues & Twos, on trial. The Chief Constable had asked for a demonstration run and, after finding what they were capable of, refused to take them. Something about keeping his drivers alive and not being able to trust them with it!! Needless to say the two PC's in the Volvo were gutted. A sight you don't want to see when you've been having 'fun' (Same model as mine too! GSR version)[Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Aug 12, 2005 9:52:48 PM] |

Subaru - a site usually only seen in the rear view mirror - and then not for long
AYC makes all the difference in bends, you've just got to have the bottle to keep on the power 'cos it only works then. Sensing all four wheels and adjusting power around them as they lose or gain traction. The intercooler spray comes in handy when really working the turbo too 'cos the boost available drops as it gets hotter, relative densities of air at turbo exhaust and all that. Handy having a passenger to press the button when you're flying - I'm sure that's why Mitsubishi fitted it in centre console!! Down points:- Only one. 8 gallon (35L) fuel tank - come on, Mitsubishi! - on a good run I can get fuel consumption as low as <4 mpg. Worst yet was 30 miles from full to running on fumes. Motorway runs at cruising speed has you looking for fuel every 140 miles!!!! |
