.10 gpu = 10 task

Do we have a thread that shows how to set up cc_config and app_config for .42? Since this seems stable and we're going to move to it anyway, it might be good to become familiar with it sooner rather than later. If not, could someone post some examples? thanks. 1. Keep cc_config as it is (edit to add 2:and where it is). 2. Post here what sub-projects you would like to run. Well I have been running 2x GPU on 3 systems since approx 2.30 this afternoon, I have had:
----------------------------------------No Invalids  4x Error: From the same system, not all at once, an hour and 2 hours between them, error ring out within a couple of seconds at the very beginning of the 1st image. I am hoping that this can be called a success (albeit not 100% perfect) Thankyou to everyone for their help and advice    |

Thanks Branjo. That's what I was looking for.

Apparently what you're saying though is that I would also have to have an app_config.xml for pure cpu projects too? And when I say "project" bear in mind that I only crunch WCG so I'm referring only to other WCG projects. No, if you don't need to example limit CEP2 to only running 2 tasks at once, you don't need to add any other applications to app_config.xml For most WCG-users they only needs to include HCC1 and only if they wants to run more than 1 HCC-GPU-task per GPU. OK, thanks. In that case, I might play around with this in advance of the migration to .42 if I can get motivated. I've just been having just a hard time of it lately. Just an FYI. If you're still using an app_info file in a version of boinc below 7.0.42 finish all the tasks in your cache before you update. If you don't they will be discarded.

An i7 quad computer has eight threads. I am trying to limit two projects to four non-GPU tasks/threads each.

AFAIK, you can't limit the number of tasks per project, only per application. In your app_config files there are missing the names of applications / sub-projects - e.g. in WCG/HPF2:
