I was just browsing through my results page and was stunned by the amount of resends. The first 21+ pages of valid results that I had were all resends. I only looked at the first 2 pages to see the logs and by far the most errors/invalids were returned by people using a 6.xx.xx version of BOINC. Can Kevin or any of the techs comment on this?

You don't say which HCC, but let me guess it's the GPU tasks [It's the HCC forum]. If it is client v6 as a culprit, v7 is being pushed in development by WCG, so that will be part of the solution, but the audit, codecheck, test cycle must be completed properly before any endorsement can be made. Latest word gave me the impression it wont be 2012 to happen as we´re sliding into the year end. And then, getting the GPU serial job crushers to update... there´s a little challenge.

There are many errors being generated by machines that either don't have the proper driver or have graphics cards we haven't yet banned (or are known to return valid results 10-15% of the time and thus we don't intend to ban). These are occurring with both 6.10 and 7.0.

Thanks for the response Kevin but from what I've gleened from my results is that the 6.xx.xx versions return error/invalid results 10 to one over any 7.x.xx version. I just thought that would make more work for the techs.

I am running a GTX 570 on version 6.10.58. I am pretty consistent in checking the results status weekly for errors & invalids. I can count on one hand the number of errors since the GPU WUs started, and they only occur when I need to reboot the workstation. My guess is this is more of a device issue, which is more noticeable due to the short run-time (large number of results) the bad device returns.
