New problem with "IVALID" results status

One of my GPUs that has been rock stable for weeks is now returning a very high percentag of Invalids

Its a HD 7950 not over clocked using an App-info set to count .125 running 8 threads on a sandy bridge 2700K, using Boinc 7.0.28

NO errors, just invalids. I looked at several and many of the returns, a few ask for about half the credit as the two wingman some ask for more some are in the middle.

Temps are good, no crashes, and GPU works well doing other tasks

Should I have it run a benchmark?

Here are some logs

This one asked for more credit than the wingmen

Re: New problem with "IVALID" results status

Rocks can be solid, yet unstable ;>)

Credit claiming is *completely* irrelevant to validation. Seen this being speculated on now for the second time in the past week.

A BOINC benchmark run [of the CPU], really means nothing for GPU's, but booting certainly wont harm. If 8 produces invalid still, return to base, and see if default 1 at a time still causes this, which of course requires you to modify the app_info.xml you're using.

Re: New problem with "IVALID" results status

Did a reboot. If the still invalid I pull the app_info file for modify. Sorry about the confusion, I though that the purpose of the wingman was a comparison of run time and points claimed.

Just so you know if you pull the app_info with tasks in your cache you will lose them. You can change the count parameter to 1 and you'll run a single task without emptying your cache. Updating to version 7.0.36 may also help. if you chose that uninstall 7.0.28 before installing 7.0.36. You will not lose any of your cache or settings doing that.

Re: New problem with "IVALID" results status

Looks like the problem may have cleared up after a reboot. I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for all the quick advice.
