unable to upload

I changed my app_info to .25. I have two GTX 480s on an AMD 8150 and I wanted to make this only a GPU macnine to see what kind of performance I would get.

But I cannot upload the result. When I try to do an update, I get

10/28/2012 3:36:13 PM | World Community Grid | Message from server: This project doesn't support computers of type anonymous

How do I upload the completed work units.

Everything worked fine until I added app_info

Re: unable to upload

Posting your app_info file might help figure it out. Maybe there's a typo.

Re: unable to upload

Think one advise was, it's always a good advise anyhow, to boot the machine. At the very least exit the client entirely. Many changes don't properly set unless you do.

That is good advice. I restarted Boinc a couple of times, and reboot machine, still getting message.

I did see it mentioned but did not see a solution.

I renamed app_info and restrted Boinc and everything worked fine. I did two GPU tasks and six CPU tasks and everyting uploaded ok. I then renamed it back to app_info, run 8 GPU tasks 0 CPU, but when I try to upload I still get.

10/28/2012 5:03:15 PM | World Community Grid | update requested by user
10/28/2012 5:03:18 PM | World Community Grid | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.

10/28/2012 5:03:20 PM | World Community Grid | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks

So it must be somehting with the app_info. It seems other people are ok so I do not know what I am doing wrong.

Re: unable to upload

Have you tried the old standby of rebooting the computer? I haven't seen a solution for the issue anywhere either, and keeping my fingers crossed because I haven't run into the problem yet. Also, I am running the app_info on 5 different computers at the moment.

Re: unable to upload

Put the app_info back, restart BOINC, and copy/paste the first 30 or so lines from the event log. Maybe something will pop out.
