Yesterday I apparently received a work unit from the Help Fight Childhood Cancer project ..the thing is, haven't had this project checked on the My Projects page. While I don't mind helping the cause, these work units take up too much computing time on my computer.

In your profile you must have checked the option which states:
----------------------------------------If there is no work available for my computer for the projects I have selected above, please send me work from another project. If you uncheck it you should not get any more work from projects you do not want. Cheers

The downside is that if that box IS unchecked, then the machine idles should WCG temporarily run out of work for the projects that are specifically selected. |
