I have 1 machine that has started throwing out errors for no apparent reason. it says at thew bottom of the log out of memory. This machine has 8GB. Here's the log.

Uhm, it's unlikely your GPU has 8 GB of memory...

If a GPU starts spitting-out errors, chances are it will continue spitting-out errors until you re-boot the computer.

This GPU app uses very little of the GPU memory. The mobo (host) memory carries most of the load. You can down clock your GPU memory to save power and heat with no effect on efficiency. FWIW I down clock mine by at least 50%.

Re: Out of Memory

CL_DEVICE_MAX_MEM_ALLOC_SIZE: 512 MByte

I believe this is a limit of the GPU programming used for crunching. If you are doing multiple units per GPU, you may be running into this limit. confused

Re: Out of Memory

I run 9 work units on my 7950, so there is no limit on that end.
