Re: HCC seems to be ignoring suspsend preferences for CPU

Someone, pirogue IIRC, noted that even if LAIM is on, and a GPU task gets paused, on resume it skips back to the start. Don't know why.
This is just one of the many issues surrounding HCC-GPU-v6.56, which issues I suggested to be documented under 'known-issues' -- as part of the overall request for what effectively would be a 'release-notes' for HCC-GPU-v6.56. That request is here.

Now no matter what I do, including suspending the task and suspending the project, the HCC WU continues chweing up CPU processing resources and the progress bar percentage continues increasing.

If you right-click on the BOINC icon and select "Snooze GPU", that should stop both the GPU and the CPU. Hopefully a more permanent solution will come along soon.

That does not solve the problem either. Just did that and clicked "Snooze" (which I am assuming is the CPU) and it is still chewing up one core as I type

Note that I have had a couple of occasions now where the HCC WU did actually respect my preferences. When I got u this morning and opened the laptop everything suspended as it should have, but now it is back to misbehaving.

Confirm that a little app called boinctray.exe is running, has to on Windows. BOINC wont start it... gets loaded during boot from a run command in the registry. If not, it can be manually started.

boinctray.exe*32 up and running already

And right now things are behaving, so it definitely seems intermittent
