if you want quiet AND cool....water cooling is the way to go ... so just giving you an alternative: MINUS 42 degrees !! mighty cold...... even for a laptop ;o) |

should be fine for your purpose.
![]() better case will allow for better cooling. make sure you get retail cpu, not oem. it should come with heatsink. don't forget to get some ram as well. find out if case comes with fans, otherwise you should grab a couple of those. and some thermal paste...see the silver/white goop thread for thoughts on that. a few easy things that need to be tossed in...hard drive, probably a cdrom drive, copy of windows(ugh...reduce costs and get linux for free...lol). |
