I found out from a member of my team.
If you only want the project to run on gpu go to "Device Manager" then click on the profile you device is running on (e.g. default) and set "Allow research to run on my CPU?" to "No". |

Is there any idea when Linux version of HCC-GPU will be available ?
Where can I go to find the latest status of Linux version of HCC-GPU ? When I saw the notice that it went live it said nothing about Live for windows only. |

[OT]No idea when coming to OSX or Linux, no indication other than it will be when it will be or famously "che sera sera". Ready when WCG is, as on Windows I find it impossible to get OpenCL installed [OEM blocked], when on Linux I've found some drivers references that do. http://askubuntu.com/questions/131506/how-can...-with-nvidia-discrete-car [/OT]

When I saw the notice that it went live it said nothing about Live for windows only. This was also my understanding when I saw the notice. It was alos the reason why I opened this thread. Shame it was not mentioned clearly. But I understand the reasons that the conversion to CUDA from x86 architecture requires a significant rework. |

The OP title nor the OP content hinted at you seeking to know information on what platform the HCC-GPU tasks were available. The shortest route though to recognize a HCC task, asking
"how can I distinguish if the computation is running on GPU or CPU?" is selecting a running task in BOINC Manager, then hit the Properties button on left, and look at the task details. The properties window shows what resources are allocated. Either only CPU or CPU+xxxGPU whole or fraction. [feature available as of certain client 6.xx version] |
