HD5670 Getting "Computation Error" every time. Could be something on your computer as my 5670 is working flawlessly. Hmmm, i'm running with the latest Boinc and Catalyst versions... I now recall the board has only 512 MB of VRAM. Is there a restriction on memory? Can you post your computation preferences so i can compare with mine? Thanks! Mine is the 1GB card. Am running CCC 12.3. In CCC overdrive, settings are 800 / 1000. Try finding an older version of CCC. Make sure you reboot after uninstall.
Crunching for humanity since 2007!

I have an AMD Radeon HD6350 that I thought was on the excluded list - but has started receiving jobs again. I am running on Windows 7 64bit, and have just upgraded to 7.0.28 from 6.10.58.
----------------------------------------Every workunit errors out with: Result Log Result Name: X0900070220442200606161711_ 0-- <core_client_version>7.0.28</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> - exit code -1073741515 (0xc0000135) </message> ]]> Is there anything I can do or is the card just not suitable? (I thought the newer version of boinc would help but it didn't) Thanks Steve. ![]() |

Yes, for that specific error, install the AMD APP-SDK. If that does not solve it, not much else likely will. See http://bit.ly/Kfsu1A

Thanks SekeRob - that was very helpful. All workunits are running now
---------------------------------------- Unfortunately they are all now invalid They are also taking 20 times as long as cards with valid results (0.35 hours usually as opposed to 0.02).Is it time for me to call it a day and give up on GPU crunching with this card (Radeon HD 6350)? Thanks Steve. ![]() |

Also followed SekeRob advice and installed the APP-SDK.
I think OpenCL was not installed since my 5670 is now processing WUs without problems. |

Recently I started to compute BOINC on a notebook equipped with ATI Mobility Radeon 5470, Windows7 64bit, Catalyst 12.10. All GPU workunits so far marked as invalid, their computation takes quite long time as well - around 30 min. each.

The GPU workunits run without problems but are marked as invalid. |

Just started to have a problem with computation errors.
----------------------------------------It was working fine until now, all results were ok and now I get computation errors as soon as the work unit starts. Error looks like this: <core_client_version>7.0.28</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> The signal handler cannot be set. (0xd2) - exit code 210 (0xd2) </message> <stderr_txt> </stderr_txt> ]]> GPU is non OCed radeon HD7850. Just tried to reinstall Catalyst drivers without any success. WUs still error out as soon as they start. Any help would be apreciated. UPDATE: Problem solved. Added Boinc dir to the exceptions list in Windows Defender and now its working. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Hamm3r at Nov 17, 2012 1:48:32 PM] |
