applause Putting a face to Neuroblastoma

I thought I would share with the group one of the faces of Neuroblastoma.

Inside LHSC Article

The Knelsen's were our hospital neighbors in both London and Toronto while both of children were undergoing Chemo, and Bone Marrow Transplants. Their daughter was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, while our son was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

My only hope is that this project will help find better treatments for children with Neuroblastoma.Thank you to all of you who contribute to this project. One cannot imagine the shock and sadness of being told your child has cancer.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Re: Putting a face to Neuroblastoma

Just looking at the page had me in tears as all the memories came flooding back. I lost my eldest son to an Ependymoma brain tumour when he was just 5 years old - that was 20 years ago but the pain is as raw as ever.

Lets all hope that through our contributions we can finally make these cancers history.

I cannot imagine that pain ever truly going away.
