I still have the problem of excessive CPU work units being downloaded during a GPU beta test. My work buffer has doubled in size in 20 minutes.
So far 3 of the 6 work units received have been resends (_2) - all had errored with exit code 135 but are completing successfully for me. |

Between Beta Test v6.55 and v6.56 I upgraded the driver for my AMD A6-4400M APU from version 1.4.1683 to 1.4.1741.
----------------------------------------No difference in elapsed runtime, but the used CPU time reduced from 99% to 74%. Elapsed times 26'45" |

Just looked at my crunchers and noticed when the beta starts, it pauses one crunching thread, even though I leave at least one thread free. Is this normal? Haven't had the opportunity to view this in the past so don't know if this is programmed into the gpu wu.

No problems with a pair of NVDIA GTX 560Ti and Windows 7. Screen a bit jumpy. I tried seti@home to compare and the screen was not jumpy.
Great work people! |

@ Bearcat: Yet, that's exactly how it should be! You told Boinc to leave x cores free. So it won't use them for any project, not even for the HCC GPU workunits (they also need some CPU calculations to be done). Does this make sense?

I know it shares with the cpu but didn't notice the suspending of a wu to run the gpu project. Makes sense though to stick with the number of threads to use in the settings. Thanks for pointing that out.
