Re: Phase II recognition thread: beyond SAPPHIRE

Sapphire with 2 Ps (Spell-check does not work in the title section ;>)

Been remiss for a little in supporting clean energy crunching, but will return soon as 1 of 2 things happen first:

1) The chase for the last blue is complete (120 days needed on SN2S).
2) The run time is extended to 24 hours, now cut off at 12, which will make all my devices pretty much capable to complete all 16 jobs in a task. Now still having the occasional 12 hour hard cut-off, which pretty much makes the last run choked.

Until now CEP is my second largest contributed science [Together with CEP1 over 3 years].
The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2	2,623,729	2,551	2:053:03:13:56
The Clean Energy Project 849,850 989 1:000:01:49:22
(In the days of CEP1, no way with the available resource to get any higher).

Crunching On.

i tried some searching and couldn't find anything- is a 24 hour duration an upcoming planned change, a "when it's ready", or a wish at this point? I'd love to see it!

Re: Phase II recognition thread: beyond SAPPHIRE

The idea has been shelved (permanently I suspect) for the reason that 2x12 hours is worth more than 1x24 [to the scientists]. Suppose that allows the search in a much wider molecule set within a reasonable EOP target. Anyway, a new Q-Chem engine is coming and monster [size] models, so we'll see what happens. Seen a tentative plan release, but since things always are subject to change, without notice, no date given as to when.

Meantime, 2/3rd into year 3. Once DSFL is done, resuming CEP2 shared crunching, no matter what comes [but that is always subject too to change without notice ;>]

edit: inserted [] bracketed comment, to whom it matters.

Re: Phase II recognition thread: beyond SAPPHIRE

HPF has put me at 8 projects with 5 years and 4 more at 10 years or more. Got caught with GFAM so it is left hanging at 9 years.
