More interesting to me is to have points awarded more consistently amongest the various Boinc projects for GPU processing. Prior to doing GPU processing on WCG, I was doing GPU processing on GPUgrid, Collatz, Milkyway, and Seti. I averaged 1,300,000 BOINC points a day. When I shifted the majority of my GPUs to WCG, my WCG points total jumped up by 100,000 points per day, but my total BOINC points dropped by 1,000,000 per day. That suggests that WCG is only giving 10% of the Boinc Credit GPUgrid, Collatz, Milkyway gave for the same GPU power.

You can always go back to those other projects, mclaver. Then I can be tops on our team again. laughing

Although you and I are now neck and neck on a daily contribution for minnesota crunchers, it will take you a while to catch up to my total contribution to the team. :).

WCG is my number one priority, since I feel it has the most significant contribution to important research. I am willing to give up my position in GPUgrid, to increase my contribution to WCG.

I was just wondering why there seems to be such a descrpancy how BOINC points are counted in WCG under GPU processing vs other GPU projects projects. It would seem that in WCG you are getting fare less credit than other GPU projects, for the same apparent contribution.

This is not related to the fact that WCG credit seems to be 7 times the Boinc credit. It is just a comparison of Boinc credit, for the same GPU, amongst GPU projects.
