My Nvidia card is throwing out computational errors

I have a NVIDIA 9500GT installed specifically to do computational work. However if I get and run any nvidia opencl tasks they fail.

However the tasks that I get for my AMD 7850 run very well.

Re: My Nvidia card is throwing out computational errors

I would suggest going to the BETA forums and do some reading. Currently the GPU app is in BETA and still being worked on. There is a forum to post problems for each BETA release. They will also ask for more details like what the error code was, OS version, BOINC version, drivers version, etc...

Check out Knreed's post on compability....your card is generally only 1.1 compute capable. However, as I noted in other forums some cards from various OEM's may have different specs then listed on nVidia's website.

Re: My Nvidia card is throwing out computational errors

Upgrading my BOINC client from 6.10.60 to 7.0.28 seemed to help my GTX460's greatly reduce their number or errors.

Re: My Nvidia card is throwing out computational errors

I've a 310M which shouldn't get HCC-NVIDIA tasks and a 9600M GT which is currently not labeled as 'not supported' even though all other 9600 cards are off-limits.

Nevertheless, both cards get continuously HCC-NVIDIA tasks which run 2 seconds and then fail with computational errors.

Why are those tasks send to blocked cards and should be the 9600M GT on the list of not supported cards as well?

Reported this on the 'Please Post if GPU Board always fails and is not on excluded list ' thread in the GPU Support Forum.
