With the resolution of some of our environment issues, we are now able to start another round of beta testing for Help Conquer Cancer GPU.
In this round we are looking at certain types of errors and in particular why the target device id appears not to be passed on the command line of the research application in some cases. We have split the plan classes into four plan classes: 1) Those computers who are on a version of BOINC that allows them to report that they can run an OpenCL application. (both ATI and NVIDIA) 2) Those computers who are on a version of BOINC that does not allow them to report that they can run an OpenCL application (both ATI and NVIDIA) Please note that this simply refers to the ability of the BOINC version to be able to read the driver attribute that reflects this capability. We are also including additional information in the stderr reported back to the server to help us understand some of the errors that we are seeing. |
