Well, try editing (or making if not present) a file called cc_config.xml located in your BOINC data-directory, use Notepad (or similar) to make/edit the file.
----------------------------------------It should at the minimum include:
If a cc_config.xml is already present, it's normally also include a <options>-part. After saving the new cc_config.xml, in the BOINC Manager, select to "Read config file" (advanced view, advanced menu-choise) Post one full instance of the new log-messages, meaning from [work_fetch] ------- start work fetch state ------- until [work_fetch] ------- end work fetch state ------- (possibly followed with a choosen project) To turn-off the extra logging, just change the line above in cc_config.xml to <work_fetch_debug>0</work_fetch_debug> and re-read the new config again. ![]() "I make so many mistakes. Since v7 only re-fills with work if cached work drops below this minimum, you don't need any new work at the moment. The CPU-shortfall being zero with no idle cpu's also shows this. As for GPU, this needs work, but at the moment none of the projects that's allowed to ask for work has any. As for WCG, predictably there's no GPU-app available, and client-setting is allowing work. But, very strange, for some reason WCG seems to have de-selected CPU-applications. I'm not aware this is even possible for WCG, but it's maybe due to a screwed-up preference-setting with WCG's custumization. So, try de-selecting some of your WCG-projects, and save preferences, for so re-selecting them, and saving again, and check again if after a scheduler-connection to WCG things is working again. ![]() "I make so many mistakes. As was noted earlier in this thread, you can deselect CPU participation in general [for purpose of only get GPU work which there isn't any]. Did not know, but the log snip indeed indicates this 7.0.33 client understands that website device profile setting, except it's set on i.e. CPU applications allowed. If set to yes/ticked, set to No/Untick to test the logic, then hit update in the client on WCG. The low cache is a good point. Other members reported that increasing the buffer setting often pushes the point to force work requesting. Worth trying an increase to e.g. 1.00 days [with the Minimum Work Buffer setting]. The Maximum Additional Work Buffer only gets backfilled when the total cache drops below Minimum. |

6.10.58 is supported, anything after that is BETA at best, please see Boinc website.

So yes, de-select and re-select this is a good suggestion, since it's not the 1st. time there's been a problem with WCG's implementation of preferences. As for client not asking for work for any resource-type de-selected by preference, if you look on other BOINC-projects you'll see this has been "Enforced by version 6.10+". ![]() "I make so many mistakes. 6.10.58 is supported, anything after that is BETA at best, please see Boinc website. v6.10.xx has a serious deadline-bug for any multi-project-users, so while it works for WCG-only users it's a bad choise for other users. Also, downgrading to v6 will delete all work on client, a really bad choise for anyone running CPDN. ![]() "I make so many mistakes. I changed the CPU option to "No"...and saved. Went back to reset at "Yes", but was already set to "Yes". Tried this a couple of times with the same result. I don't have a problem downgrading to 6.10.58 but it may take a while for all work to complete before I can do it.

Might be something completely different, but check your Device Profiles (a subset of Device Manager on the My Grid page)... all mine seem to have gotten reset (to 'blank' - except for the DDDT2 intermittent task) recently.
