These HFCC units vary widely in size. I have had from 2 hours to over 48 hours on various machines. The bigger units seem to come in waves. They do wreak havoc on the DCF which throws the cache settings off for a short while.

I wonder what setups people are running for these long wu. On a 1.7 ghz AMD opteron core, I have not seen any HFCC WU over 17 hours, and would consider that a slow cpu. Maybe I have not gotten one of these "monster WU" :)

The longest 48 hour units occurred on a 2.4gz Xeon (Linux Mint 7) on a HP DL360 G3(?) circa 2004 and some 40 hour plus units on a 1.6gz P4. Fairly old stuff. I have found that the Linux on the P4 runs about twice the the speed of Win XP on an identical P4.

Well it finished, blew out my DCF from 3 days to 23 :D That will fix in a few hrs. not able to report atm, but will check back later

I did get one of these wu now...ran 29 hours on a 1.7 ghz opteron core. It got rewarded with points nicely as it had a replication of 1.
