One of the XP boxes that I am running on suddenly gets stuck on the "Waiting to contact project servers" message. Nothing has changed on this box (software, Internet connection, etc.), so I don't know what to try first.
Any ideas? Thanks.  |

Hello ZABA77,
Switch to Advanced View, then look at Tasks, Messages and Transfers. That should tell you what is happening. If you don't like it, try rebooting and see what that does. If it still looks like a problem, post the starting messages and the part with the specific problem. Lawrence |

Thanks for the reply. A reboot didn't do it. However, Advanced > Retry Communications did. :)

"Do Network Communication" as it's called in more recent client releases. What it does is essentially resetting any back-off deferral counters or as the official wiki describes: Force a retry of any project deferred communications.
