The tga file is not critical... it's for the pretty graphics. Probably if you stop BOINC network, abort the offending download, copy the old dsfl_image15_6.24.tga to dsfl_image15_6.25.tga the issue goes away. My client was good enough to erase all old version traces, i.e. this may not be the temporary fix. It's something in the cloud that needs refreshing.

But the 6.24 file has another signature than the 6.25 file so copy/renaming does result in a signature error (the tgs file has <signature_requred> set and is listed in the <app_version> section). So in addition you have to change the client state file for using the 6.24 signature. Even if I do not use the graphics at all. It works. But I don't expect the average user to change the client state file. So there should be another way... |

That signature change is a little surprising, given it's just a name change [maybe the name was included in the sig algorythm?]. Anyway, we cant do anything about this... techs will need to do their thing in the mentioned cloud department [where fixed/sticky files of sciences come from].

Same thing just happened to me on a couple Windows machines that I just switched back to DSFL
