Re: I am new to join HCC, I put my datacenter servers into this project.

Hello,

Would I know what CPUs you are using ?
My company have a lot of server can be put into this project until rent out.

I am testing a 6 cores / 12 Threads, but it looks like do not have a super fast result....

Anyone tested E5 Xeon ?

How many CPU's?: By close approximation http://bit.ly/WCGCRD , the active were about 250 thousand unique CPU's contributing in the last 30 days. This is not saying anything about the number of threads in those CPU's, but when we reported 447 CPU years on Monday, that would be 365*447 = 163,447 core equivalents at 24 full throttle (100% efficiency ;-).

Hello,
I'm currently running a dual 2011 E5-2687W based system on the project and it's doing very well.
At default speed of 3400MHz on turbo it's app 3 times the output of my 2600K system thats at 4332MHz.
Welcome to the project.

@SekeRob :

I cannot see what IBM is using for their computing. I want to know what CPU they are using.

For now, I know AMD 6200 core is the most powerful in this moment. By default we will use for VM Host.

But I want to put some servers to computing this tasks before we start to production !

@Movieman ,

E5-2687 is a 8 cores CPU, that is a powerful tool too!
BY default the clock rate is 3.1 GHz.

Yes, but turbo on all cores is 3400MHz..Trust me on this! biggrin

32 threads at 100% load at 3400MHz
