Hello all,
I am new here. I want to know how I can know how many result I has been uploaded ? I am using 6 * E7500 + 1 * Xeon X5650 for this project. Those CPUs power are from my data center. I will put more and more idle servers into this project. I want to do something to help people. But, is this project really can help people who got Cancer ? The website is too simple and I don`t know what is this project is doing.... Anybody can answer me ? |

First, welcome to WCG and to the forums.

But, is this project really can help people who got Cancer ? I am not sure what you are asking. Can you be more specific? For information about the research click on the Research tab above. How many CPU's?: By close approximation http://bit.ly/WCGCRD , the active were about 250 thousand unique CPU's contributing in the last 30 days. This is not saying anything about the number of threads in those CPU's, but when we reported 447 CPU years on Monday, that would be 365*447 = 163,447 core equivalents at 24 full throttle (100% efficiency ;-).

Would I know what CPUs you are using ? My company have a lot of server can be put into this project until rent out. I am testing a 6 cores / 12 Threads, but it looks like do not have a super fast result.... Anyone tested E5 Xeon ? Here's a list of CPU types that are / have contributed to WCG with their relative credit.

I am going to add this:
AMD Opteron 6276 16 Cores server for this project * 10 servers. Can I rise up my level to the top one in the world ? 10 x 16 Cores = 160 Cores Real time. |

Welcome to WCG, and thanks for bringing that to the crunching table. It's not spot one, but it will get you to the top 250, in time :D
