Hi, i'm getting the message "Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site" since 12 hours every time the client requests an update. Tasks are being reported and downloaded correctly though.
This happens only to my Windows 7 64 / 6.10.60 64 bit (ATI-GPU, intel i7) client. No message on Ubuntu / 6.10.58 64 bit (amd64x2, no usable GPU). The message also appears on the Windows machine when only requesting for CPU jobs. Both machines running on a profile with C4CW, DDDT2, DDDT1, FLU, CEP1, Beta selected. Just FYI. 17/05/2012 09:33:30 World Community Grid Reporting 2 completed tasks, requesting new tasks for CPU 17/05/2012 09:33:33 World Community Grid Scheduler request completed: got 1 new tasks 17/05/2012 09:33:53 Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site 17/05/2012 09:33:54 Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down. ... 17/05/2012 16:49:32 World Community Grid Requesting new tasks for GPU 17/05/2012 16:49:35 World Community Grid Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 17/05/2012 16:49:35 World Community Grid Message from server: No tasks sent 17/05/2012 16:49:35 World Community Grid Message from server: No tasks are available for Computing for Clean Water 17/05/2012 16:49:35 World Community Grid Message from server: No tasks are available for Discovering Dengue Drugs - Together - Phase 2 17/05/2012 16:49:35 World Community Grid Message from server: No tasks are available for Discovering Dengue Drugs - Together - Phase 2 (Type A) 17/05/2012 16:49:54 Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site 17/05/2012 16:49:55 Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down. |

Issue or No Issue, not a single blib here... GPU's disabled... work flowing as normal both on Win and Lnx.

Maybe a polluted local DNS cache? Few days ago in the Computer tips thread I posted a nifty tool link to flush DNS and do an ''on-the-fly'' DNS server change. Worth trying (but it only works on Win)

Thanks SekeRob.
Did a restart, DNS flush, disabled the virtual network adapter (installed a few weeks ago), flush again, log off and on again. Still getting the message. Ah well, looks like it's a local thing. I'll ignore it. |
