I rebooted, updated Microsoft Office at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/default.aspx with my Office CD in my drive, then installed the critical updates at http://update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate and rebooted. I used Internet Explorer as my browser on the Microsoft Update sites.
