sad 4 of my 5 Failed, calling for DebugBreak

This is the error common to all 4 failures!

Unhandled Exception Record -
Reason: Breakpoint Encountered (0x80000003) at address 0x75FF3E2E

I have allowed WCG to use 10Gig's of my HDD. So, it's not even close to using up that space.

I have a AMD Duron, currently, OC'ed to 1.4GHz. It was running stock 1.1GHz when I started crunching on the 17th.

Please HELP! I want to help out my Team and WCG with this work. So, far I have accrued 0 points because of these errors and I don't know what to do to correct them. sad

No one will be able to help unless you post more information - Project, Operating System etc.

Check out the threads for whichever project you are crunching and see if any one else has the same problem. And also gain some information on how other people report errors.

Hi,

As you have not been successful at all, zero points, my first suggestion is to reverse your OC and run stock, to first proof the device can produce valid tasks.

Let us know when you've done that.

According to this Durons haven't been very popular(line 19).

[ot]At the very bottom there's actually a couple of Z80As with credits[/ot]

Re: 4 of my 5 Failed, calling for DebugBreak

Tonight, before bed, I'll drop the OC and see what happens. I truly don't understand why that would cause a problem but, we'll see.

Re: 4 of my 5 Failed, calling for DebugBreak

Hello Arjai,

Added: smile I'm wrong. See SekeRob's post below about a 300 MB limit.

BOINC says that your files are exceeding 300 MB, which is why it is aborting the project work unit. Either you are missing enough free space on your hard drive or your preferences override file has a limit of 300 MB (almost certainly). Clear your preferences and see if it starts working.

Re: 4 of my 5 Failed, calling for DebugBreak

The 300MB limit comes from WCG, not from any preferences. It is listed right in the workunit info in the client_state.xml file:

<rsc_disk_bound>314572800.000000</rsc_disk_bound>

The question is why is Arjai's machine exceeding the 300MB limit, as no one else seems to be reporting this problem?

I think Arjai would have to keep track of the slot directory (which contains the running task) and project directory (which contains the output files) to see which file is getting so large that this error is happening.
