Wow to the longterm badges. Just got back to this one with my handful of cores, and it's turned gold. Hope to get to sapphire while the project lasts.

Made it to a beautiful emerald green a few days ago.
----------------------------------------Because I live near the Chesapeake Bay and certainly within the Chesapeake Watershed, I'm very pleased to see so many people working on this project. Thanks to all for some ''local'' help that may well have implications on other watershed areas through the world. Sources of clean water are not only a current problem in many parts of the world, but may well become a big problem in currently unaffected areas as well. Perhaps this project, along with the Computing for Clean Water project will help provide a solution for this growing problem. Gold!
As for water resources, I live in Prunedale, California, which is just north of Salinas. Here the water problems are due to the rock formations which prevent the well systems from getting good sustainable water for all of the residents with nitrate levels below the required maximum. |
