10 days after the BOINC server code upgrade which caused a lot of people to get the 'lost . . . resent' message. Could this be a related fault as the 10-day time limit is reached? Lawrence |

Not a clue what it is.
----------------------------------------Funny thing is I always keep a 0.00 additional work buffer and it was asking for GPU jobs. Could this be related to the Beta GPU's I ran yesterday ? I noticed after they ran my time "To completion" had tripled on the c4cw CPU jobs... Oh well , I guess it'll take me a day or so to chew thru all those to get me back on track... I just noticed something...
I didn't even install Boinc on Win 7 until very recently , after the server upgrade. Time created: Mar 10th, 2012 So maybe it is all the ones my other machines did at that time ? It's just very strange to see my Cache so full  |

I've been having this error every time it tries to report completed/uploaded tasks to the server. I have 4 units that do this, they're gone. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled boinc manager to see if that would fix the problem. It didn't. These 4 units sure add a TON of lines to my event log, considering it tries to report them every time it reports other tasks or fetches work. VERY annoying. :(

Select the lines in BOINC Manager Tasks tab and Abort. Do same in the Transfer tab. Might work.

Interestingly, there was a check-in note for server 7xx that may fix these [prematurely] declared permanent result file losses, if this is what it suggests:

Select the lines in BOINC Manager Tasks tab and Abort. Do same in the Transfer tab. Might work. --//-- One big problem with that, Rob. These aren't IN my tasks tab at all. They've been gone from my cache since the upgrade the other day. I even had them completed and sent, just they weren't reported yet far as I know of. Thus I can't abort anything, as it somehow got messed up due to the upgrade downtime on the other (not mine) end. I really have no clue how the tasks were removed from my cache without being reported, either. All I know is those 4 tasks keep showing up in my event log as being lost, every time there's a work fetch or report of other finished units. Is there some file(s) in my data folder I could delete or edit so this would stop showing up in my event log? i5-12600K (3.7GHz), 32GB DDR5, Win11 64bit Home |

Well my morning Statistics suggest that the 52 results in question were somehow lost in transit and now I have already "re"crunched them.
It's just a shame that I lost so much crunching time. I guess my computer just needed the practice.  |
