Is something up with the validator?

For the past few days I've been hovering around 10-20 PV for this project. Now suddenly I'm at 45 (was at 17 about 6 hours ago - if that time frame helps any).

Re: Is something up with the validator?

Under result status have you clicked on a CCW task to see if it has a try validation link? If yes click it & it will say scheduled for validation. Some time ago I had roughly 16 tasks pending these all cleared by the following morning.

Work is getting through as of 2/29/12 12:06:02 Results Returned - Day: 341,095

Re: Is something up with the validator?

I've got a few doing something similar. Even clicking 'try validation' isn't getting them through. Its not a problem if they clear in a few hours but the oldest one has been sitting there waiting for at least 6 hours.

Edit - I checked my results page again, roughly 7 hours after first post, looks like they are got cleared through.

Re: Is something up with the validator?

Ok, I did that on some that were waiting for 8-10 hours, and they're validated now. It took a bit, but they went through finally. However, even the ones I didn't do that to, that were waiting about 6 hours or so, are now validated, also. That's what makes me think it might have been something with the validator.

Re: Is something up with the validator?

Plz visit the Validator / Scheduler FAQ (that is in need of a little work). There it is explained... the buggy flag and the process to mop up, which happens no later than at the first deadline expiration in kind of [Hello, do we need to send another copy and dang no, we better get this one post-haste lined up for validation!]. I've yet to find even a smidgen of evidence that a task never makes it through to the validator, in the end of course.

Validators and Transitioners do get paused at times by hand during maintenance and there can be small avalanches of results at certain parts of the day or week [the office machines]. There are multiple Validators/Transitioners and if one is off, there builds up a backlog, which then needs multiple hours to get caught up again. Such is life with our points addictions ;>)

P.S. Right today is usually my lowest PV jail level in the week... just 33 this moment.
