Re: Welcome to the Say No to Schistosoma project!

Do You have any info about the naming standards, number of batches etc ?

Yep, those info are needed to reduce the fog-of-crunching for SN2S crunchers (See 2nd paragraph below). First, we need a good overview/perspective. For that, I recommend following the model of the GFAM website http://gofightagainstmalaria.scripps.edu/. This part would paint the picture of the SN2S battlefield.

The second part in reducing the fog-of-crunching (and hereby requested): an SN2S thread that focuses on the structure of SN2S WUs (naming standards, descriptions, I.D./number/hierarchy of batches, and the like) and the deployment schemes involved (schedules, projections, sequences, exceptions, and the like). This part would paint the picture of how the forces (WUs, server-support, project prioritization, and related) are to be deployed, controlled, and managed in the SN2S battlefield.

Using the above two(2) parts as foundation, we would be in the best position to tackle any problem that may get thrown to our SN2S-crunching ways.

How long will this project run? I'm lagging behind on malaria and Leishmaniasis...

Re: Welcome to the Say No to Schistosoma project!

It's really excellent to see a new project, especially a 'small molecule docking' medical one (my favourite type).

I have unfinished business on two other WCG projects which I'm going to complete at least one of first, but I'll be back here mid-March to get stuck in. Can't wait.

Re: Welcome to the Say No to Schistosoma project!

Hi John,

I have set my configuration file in WCG to 'Automatic - and ALL projects', and have just received the first " Bilharziose" Job.
Have not known the word 'Schistosomia' before, here in Germany, Austria and Switzerland it's better known
under " Bilharziose ".

Please take a look under 'History' at this Link ...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schistosomiasis

keep on chrunching...

with my old core to duo, I will do my very best.... smile

Skype tomorrow...
