My Dell Dimension 4700 Pentium 4 dual core computer used to run two projects at a time. It is set for 100% CPU use. Recently it stopped using both cores and is only running one task at a time. I have not changed anything.

No thoughts. You can check with CPU-Z how many cores the OS currently sees. Your assumed to be hyperthreaded P4 would then show Cores: 1, Threads: 2, if things are fine on the system side.
Of course, we're curious about the exact client version since the controls have changed between various releases. If you post the startup message log from BOINC, about 30 lines, we can confirm how many the client sees and the rest of the key info. --//-- |

Just checked the Boinc messages. It's only seeing one cpu. Which is why it's only running one. But I don't know why it stopped seeing both. I'll try doing some research but if you have an idea to fix it, I welcome your thoughts.

It's Fixed.
I checked the hyperthreading performance option in the Bios. It was turned off. I know I didn't do that in the last week or so. No idea how that option got changed. But I turned it back on and now I'm crunching two tasks on the dual core. At least it will give me more crunching power. Thanks, |

The suggested CPU-Z visit would have revealed that there was only 1 thread active per system settings ;p.
Good you're full up again. Please edit the OP title and insert [RESOLVED] as per this post... then we all know it's a done deal. Happy crunching. --//-- |
