James,
----------------------------------------Your response may help others with similar issues as that could indeed be the cause of their problems. My problem is not my CPU over heating, I've used Seti@home for years and there has never been any issue about over heating. My temp is around 53C, as the weather is getting cooler, in the summer it runs at over 60C, so I am certain this isn't what's happening. I believe I may have a corrupt work unit, is there anyway to just delete the WU and download another? I don't want it to continually try to compute it as it will never finish. ![]() |

Okay according to http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=344
----------------------------------------if you exit the task you lose the data. That's a bit odd, that means if you want to reboot your computer for whatever reason you will use the work you did and recieve no credit for it. Seems I have a new work unit now also as I have exited several times. But the information there does not explain why, when the sytem was not rebooted, and the task not exited, that 54% disappeared when I work up this morning. According to the information in that thread above, this should only happen if you exit the program, which I did not do. ![]() |
