I went to change some of my profiles this morning and found them gone. The pictures pretty much explain what I saw. What in the world would cause this?

This happened to me once when I linked to a new non-WCG BOINC project, Quake-Catcher Network if I recall. I edited one profile on the new project, so it became the most-recently changed one. I failed to notice that that project only had the one "default" profile -- no "home," "work," or whatever. When my computers contacted that project, the other profiles were wiped out.

I attached to POEM 3 weeks ago but that is a BOINC project and I've changed the profiles since then. I must have done something in my POEM profile to do this but I have no idea what. When I clicked on the create a new BOINC device profile all my old settings were still there. No harm but very strange.

Kate's observation confirmed [only the default created and messing up the locations/venues elsewhere] Has happened to me, can't remember if it was POEM or QCN, but both are attached to my client. Happened to make a post about this few days ago in reply to someone who asked what the consequences were to the settings if detaching from a project.

I've done the same thing to myself (was playing around with Primegrid I think). It's not fatal to the account, just annoying having to set up the profiles again.

I've done the same thing to myself (was playing around with Primegrid I think). It's not fatal to the account, just annoying having to set up the profiles again. Especially if you have more than the standard 4.

Perhaps you could consider condensing that to only a couple? I don't know anything about your hardware or personal goals, or course, but simple administration is usually a good thing.
