sad help pls - reset project???
I have been seeing some strange problems:

1. off and on have looked at the tasks tab and seen all the WU's just sitting there but with no activity... and no cpu usage in task manager
2. the following messages in the event viewer:

I'm running 6.12.39 on wk8r2sp1 with all latest patches. I7-2600k water-cooled and running wcg @95% with 16gb RAM with tons of free space on hard disk

I have already "reset project" once, and the errors and "stalling" continues... crying


any ideas?

Something is most likely blocking/interfering with BOINC, AV/Firewall/Security suite, the usual suspects [localhost/port 31416]. Exit BOINC Manager, but let the BOINC service [boinc.exe] run and see if it goes away. The other reason is a permanently very busy system. Look in Task Manager as admin, all processes view, if something is soaking up the cycles. Sitting around doing nothing suggests it's lost quota. Hit the update button in projects tab and post log copy.

P.S. Using 6.12.39? Is that a recommended version? See 6.12.34 http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php at Berkeley, and for some that poses an issue with WCG, so those are recommended to go to 6.12.33 or at the very least go to the last point release, 6.12.43. Is BOINC installed with protected application execution [service] or as user?
