Login issue question

For some strange reason the WCG site no longer remembers me even though the remember me box has always been ticked. I have to login every day now. Nothing has changed that I know of.

Re: Login issue question

Remember me lasts as long as the cookies stay in cache. Did you make the change to ditch them or have security suites like Norton ditch them for u?

Nope. Haven't changed a thing and this is the only site having this issue.

Re: Login issue question

There was the infamous Tuesday patch. My browser does not remember either, but the Secure Login plug in does. Anytime a new site login is seen and signed in it asks if it's OK to remember, or not and to not ask again for a site... you would not want your banking credentials to be remembered. Anytime visiting WCG, and not signed in, the key icon next to the address bar turns yellow **. For Opera it's a standard feature. No help of WCG needed to remember, no cookies to be retained.... happily cleansed when exiting browser.

Does the address at top say it's http or https?

Else, pass.

--//--

edit: ** Also, the remembered fields are framed yellow to make it easy on the eye.

https.
I'm using FF 6.02 because I've never seen any need to upgrade. Could upgrading help although I don't really want to?

Re: Login issue question

World of difference in speed... I'm on FF 9.01 and auto update [Windows and Linux]. Remember-me has not worked here for a long time, for the given reason.

Re: Login issue question

Sign out, bringi up the My Grid screen with the http address and tick the box again. Sign in, sign out, open the http address page again. Nothing has changed server side for all I know. For an https page it would be incorrect to remember anything.

When you type in the name box the n, does it bring up your member name? If you then *tab* to the password field, does it prefill the password in ***********. It's what it's doing here, no matter if http or https, in fact the address shown is without http/https prefix.

Now my idea box is empty.

I have those options disabled. It's no big deal. If I have to login each time I can live with it.
