Re: Status update on Experiment 38 and Experiment 39

Have not paid attention, but both experiment 39 and 40 have this piece in the description:

snip:
In the second half of these calculations, we are using a larger grid box, to try to find even larger allosteric inhibitors that can bind strongly with both the allosteric site and other sub-pockets that are adjacent to it.

Cant's see any run time changes between Dec.8 and today. Maybe the techs took that into account when sizing the tasks. At any rate, experiment 40 is ready for distribution when 39 completes.

WEEKLY UPDATE .............

Right now WU from batch 30,526 are being sent out from Experiment 39.

Based on the turnaround time time that we have averaged this week, we should be able to get to the last batch (31,500) in about 18 days, which is around March 8, 2012 .

Two factors that resulted in the speeding up work in the last few days are as follows:

# 1 - Help Cure Muscular Distoryphy project nearing end - FAAH in picking up some of the crunching power that is being freed up.

# 2 - Fight Childood Cancer - Feeder priority was reduced - FAAH in picking up some of the crunching power that is being freed up.

WEEKLY UPDATE .............

Right now WU from batch 30,920 are being sent out from Experiment 39.

Based on the turnaround time time that we have averaged this week, we should be able to get to the last batch (31,500) in about 12 days, which is around March 9, 2012 .

*** The launch of a new project has taken up a good amount of free crunching capacity. Say No to Schistosoma (SNS) was launched February 22 (4 days ago). This project is now up to 46 Teraflops of crunching power, and that's on a Medium feeder priority.

March 7, 2012 Update....Due to code upgrades in WCG and BOINC software upgrades there was a work dely yesterday and overnight.

This may delay the finish of Experimnet 39 by a day.

Re: Status update on Experiment 38 and Experiment 39

I just got a work unit from batch 31,498. We are getting very close to the last batch in this experiment of 31,500 being sent out.

Once all the work is done being sent out for Experiment 39 then we should expect that it would take about 2 weeks before all the left over results and repair jobs are done.
