Don't know when this started, Firefox 7 or 8, but everything is quite responsive, except signing out. On W7 it freezes the browser completely for near 20 seconds, with at left bottom saying in a balloon frame "read https: //www.worldcommunitygrid.org" after flashing through a number of http addresses. The application switching etc still works as normal during this time. In IE9 the sign-out speed is fine, almost instantaneous if done a second time within same browser session [I have set to wipe all cookies/cache/flash etc on exit].
Anyone else? --//-- P.S. Also just tested with FF8 on Linux and not seeing this behavior. |

Could it be google-analytics doing this? Had it disallowed in NoScript and when temp allowing, low and behold it says: "waiting on ssl.google-analytics.com" for that same time noted before.

I tested signing out of WCG with FF 8.0 using Win7 x64; no delay, very responsive, even with BOINC crunching away.
I presume you've scanned your computer for malware? Flush DNS cache? Reboot? Never have liked tracking software or scripting. ![]() |

Regrettable, the guided missile homed in on this site. The system for all and everything is standard responsive, just not this one sign-out action at WCG.
Never liked the activity trackers, maybe they're programmed to obstructed if blocked for the same amount of time they need to report where you've all been [at WCG that is]. Most certainly, I've opted to block them where/who I know they snoop. --//-- |
